Born in 1982 to non-horsey parents, I first fell in love with horses at the age of six when I used to walk past an old pony each day on the way to school. I began riding when I was seven and started competing seriously when I was 12. When I left school I worked as a rider for Graham and Tina Fletcher for four years and began producing young event horses to sell. When I was 21, I set up my own yard in Lechlade, Gloucestershire. I have competed in many young event horse classes including Burghley where I have had eight horses through to the final, winning in 2007 with Eye Candy. I have also competed and been placed at international events including Barbury, Blenheim and Bramham. My aims for the future? To run a successful string of competition horses at top level and to represent my country at major team events.
